OregonHeart is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Research and development operates out of Roseville, California. We hold an issued patent that provides broad freedom to operate and ample protection.
OregonHeart’s research and development efforts are being managed to successfully achieve aggressive development milestones. We’ve produced and validated our Total Artificial Heart System (TAHS) 1.0 prototype in a highly capital efficient manner well below projected development costs. Research is continuously aligned with development to ensure our design has good manufacturability and best meets the needs of our “ecosystem”: clinicians, patients, caregivers, regulators, healthcare systems, and payers. Decisions are driven by business economics.
OregonHeart has established a highly integrated and robust team of experts, bringing together many years of experience, best practices and knowledge, and lessons learned from the medical, engineering, business, and regulatory fields. We’ve taken a complete systems approach and focused on early engagement of key stakeholders. Internationally recognized clinical leaders who serve on our Medical Advisory Board have validated the clinical need for the OregonHeart TAHS.
